Hey, I tried re-flashing my BenQ drive the other day and I used the drive half open method. After that, eject would not work. It seems like the drive is stuck in vendor mode and I can't get it out. I can read, flash and erase just fine, but eject doesn't work, and if I push the tray in all the way, nothing happens. I tried using the TIAO connectivity kit to eject, but no response. I know the kit is not faulty because I used it on my LiteOn drive and it works. I have successfully flashed it before without this happening. Please help me!! D:

Try ejecting from the disc drive without the SATA cable plugged in after a computer restart. Make sure the CK3 kit is still on and the switch to the ON position. Sometimes you will experience minor freezing when both the CK3 kit and SATA cables are plugged in at the same time, and will cause the eject to fail. It should most likely eject when you connect it to your Xbox.
If it doesn't work, then it was because you erased the firmware. When you plugged in the SATA cable into either a PCI SATA card or on the motherboard, could your computer detect the VAD6038 during POST/CMOS/BIOS? If it could, then the firmware is not erased and should be able to eject.
You should be able to get the drive out of Vendor Mode by turning off and then turning back on everything. If not, then go into JungleFlasher and click MTK Flash 32 tab. Select the I/O port that the drive is on - your drive should display correct "Drive Properties" at the bottom (it shouldn't display "No Drive Detected!"). After that, select Outro / ATA Reset. Always remember to do an Outro after clicking Intro / Device ID or after spoofing/flashing.

It shows up in BIOS and everything, but Windows freezes whenever the drive is even turned on. I currently have an nForce motherboard and I bought a VIA PCI card from easymg.com and I am waiting for it to arrive. Do you think the VIA will fix the freezing problem?

The VIA will ensure that you are able to flash any drive without issue (vendor intro error messages) on any motherboard. But using the onboard SATA should be more stable than using the VIA when it comes to freezing issues.
To fix freezing problem: Does your computer freeze when both CK3 + Drive SATA cable are plugged in, or when only the CK3 is connected? I guess you might have to still download and install the latest JungleFlasher http://jungleflasher.net/downloads.html and finish outroing your device from there. Windows doesn't know the best drivers for an Xbox 360 DVD drive to install and so it will freeze randomly since it thinks it is faulty hardware, but sometimes it will work if you keep restarting Windows and JungleFlasher.
Some computers can freeze since the CK3 is sharing some of the power from your power supply. Try disconnect some devices like an optical drive(s). It could be either the CK3 or the Xbox DVD drive that your computer doesn't like being connected. It should work after a few restarts. If not, turn on the CK3 only when Windows boots up fully. Select correct I/O port in JungleFlasher, etc. and do the Outro / ATA Reset.

I was using power from a red ringed 360. I just got my CK3 yesterday. I'll wait until the VIA arrives then I'll use that and the CK3 and try to do an outro. Thanks!

I tried to do a erase then flash in dosflash16. It says no identify possible, but I don't have to do anything to get it into vendor mode. I did a read, and the firmware was valid. I did a reflash and it's still stuck, no eject. I tried my other newly acquired benQ and it identified, and flashed and everything. Should I try throwing it into a 360?

The drive should most likely work once connected to the 360. Make sure the SATA and power cables are plugged in. Take out Ethernet cable before powering it up. If everything works, plug out the 360 from your surge protector and reassemble the case.

I reflashed with the stock firmware. I put it in the 360, powered up with the power button. It flashed like it was trying to eject. I turned it off, then pressed the eject button. Still nothing. A fried motor maybe?

When there is firmware on the drive, the drive can always eject from a powered CK3 (even without SATA cable plugged in) or the Xbox 360. If your computer can detect the drive, it can eject. Don't you here any sounds coming from the drive once you press the eject button?
You need to try and finish doing the Outro / ATA Reset from JungleFlasher (last step before closing the program). Try reflashing from scratch along with your key and your iXtreme LT BenQ firmware. The last resort is to buy a new drive or ask a modding shop to fix it for you.

Yeah, I've tried ejecting with the CK3 alone before. No sounds. I connected to my computer and DOSFLASH32 was able to detect the type of flash memory, but not the drive name. Jungleflasher wouldn't detect it at all until I did an intro and turned the drive off and on. I did an outro, but still nothing. I think I'll just buy a new one.

Eject from the disc drive's eject button instead while it is powered up using the CK3 or Xbox (don't use the CK3's eject button), if it doesn't work then you need a new one. Buy a new LiteOn.
