Hi,
Thinking of using PCBTrain.co.uk for making a one-off prototype PCB, unless anyone can suggest a better one or has any negative feedback about them? Also, anyone suggest a good PCB assembler in the UK that isn't mad on price? I've had one quote at £11 per board when its 50x30mm and 72 holes! I think thats a mad price as the entire thing only costs £6.12 to make with everything except assembly.
And I am thinking of using a normal ABS box to store the PCB as it will be mounted using the D-Sub connector and the D-Sub to the panel it goes to. The problem is I will have to cut out the D-Sub shape and 2 holes for the screws in every single box, and as it will be produced in close to 1000s its not feasible. What do you guys do when it comes to products and enclosing your PCBs while having to expose connectors etc..? Are there sites or companies that make boxes, or a machine I can buy to create my own moulds or something. I am only paying £1 a box at the moment so do not want to go extreme on cost of machine if I were to do it myself so a few £1000 max shall we say.
Please help
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
