Hi,
I recently purchased a "Liteon 83850V2 and 93450 Solderless Key Extractor" and connectivity kit v3 from DIYGADGET.
I'm going to be doing the mod this week and need some advice and answers...
1. Why are the cuts made to the traces? Are we trying to bypass those white dots things? Why whats the point?
2. With regards to cutting point A. Must I make sure not to cut into the trace above and below it? ie: the purple lines in the pic.

3. With regards to cutting point B. If by mistake I cut a little longer on B is it ok? ie: the pink lines in the pic.

4. After I've made the cuts but need to know where to check for continuity with a multimeter on points A and B.
For B I assume its blue dot to blue dot and yellow dot to yellow dot?

1 & 2 - We are trying to disable the light-green bus line going to the pad. But we must also cut the dark-green lines next to the pad for it to be cut properly. Make sure you don't cut off the circular hole, only the light-green line must be cut as shown in your screenshots above.
3 - Cut the light green lines surrounded by the dark-green lines by simply creating a straight line. Do it properly so that rejoining them is easier.
4 - I would worry about this only when you are about to rejoin the traces. Be sure to check the manual for your multimeter first (booklet or a PDF manual). The most important thing now is to get the key.
