Make sure you are not getting Status 0x51 unless you use the pogo pins to power the drive manually. The drive shouldn't be able to be recognized on the computer on its own. This is just to check if the traces were cut.
If the CK3 is turned on and lit and everything is plugged in properly, I don't remember think the drive can eject by itself unless you use the pogo pins. Anyway, dumping/flashing is what we are supposed to be doing. Be sure your CK3 is not causing Windows to freeze while ejecting. Also, make sure you are using a compatible SATA PCI controller card or onboard.
When you are dumping, use a 20ohm resistor and make sure the pogo cables and alligator clips are attached to the CK3 (also test if they can cause other smaller homemade electronic battery device setups to power up). Now connect everything together in the right manner.
