When I was doing the Lite-On drive with the exploded trace the conectivity kit's MOSFET at the top of the board start to sizzle near the drain.
It must've got so hot that the solder was melted.
The Eject function no longer works, and I can't seem to get any of the new Lite-On drives to do the intro with the probes.
I checked the continuity with my multimeter against the pads, and they seem to have a connection with the power pins. It only gets continuity to the two GRND pins of the Molex.
Is there a way I can be sure that the pads are not connected?

I just ordered another one.
I saw a busted trace on the bottom of the PCB, and thought if I bridge it would fix it. It did not.
The only problem is the shipping takes FOREVER from DIYGADGET! It's like a fucking week and a half to get it from Canada to eastern US.
I've seen packages that go from the UK to the US in less than 4 days. But whatever.

You should try shipping using EasyMG instead. Seems to be an American company according to WHOIS/Godaddy domain tools.
