Hi all, I just have a general query and wonder whether anyone can help please. I am selling an XBox 360 HDMI on eBay at the moment and over the last two days or so have had two messages asking about the dashboard ie why kind of dash does it have. The last query I said I did not know where the dashboard was and they mailed me back and told me how to find it. I haven't looked yet but understand it comes up with a number. Can you please tell me if I did find it and let them have it does this mean they can do something with the number. Sorry, I might be being cautious unecessarily but just need to know.

No. the dashboard number is not specific for your console, thus you can tell them the number, it does NOT contains any personal information nor any specific information about your console.
The reason they ask is because they probably want a lower dashboard version number. The new version from M$ locks the dvd driver, which is not good if you plan to do some interesting testing.

I think It will be very useful to us Sri Lankan Xbox 360 Gamers cuz apperantly there are no Jtaggers in Sri Lanka.
