You need to use FT_Prog from FTDI's website to change incorrect settings. You need to disable Virtual COM port using FT_Prog for TUMPA Port A.
There are instructions on TIAOwiki for enabling virtual COM port,
but you need to disable Virtual COM port;
- FT_Prog should find TUMPA. expand the Device Tree to port A, click on Hardware, make sure 245 FIFO is selected
- Select Driver, and select D2XX Direct,
Other Needed changes are;
* Make sure "idProduct" is
8A98
* Make sure "idVendor" is
0403
* Make sure "Manufacturer" is
TIAO
* Make sure "Product_Description" is
TIAO USB Multi-Protocol Adapter
set "SerialNumber_AutoGenerate" to false, if you already have TIAO serial number on flash. then click on "Program" icon on the menu bar
I recommend backing up all settings before changing with FT_PROG. If there is no option to backup, you can take screenshots and save them for further reference.
