zJtag running on Raspberry PI using GPIO pins

Hello everybody,
I would like to ask if it would be possible to modify zJtag so that it could be launched from Raspberry PI and use GPIO pins.
Even my old computer does no longer have Parallel port but I own Raspberry PI
I searched the Internet this afternoon and found this modification of Jtag 3.0.1 to be used with Raspberry PI (https://github.com/oxplot/tjtag-pi)
would it be possible to add such a support to zJtag as well please?
I want to use it for Netgear WNR3500L (for which I have all tjtag 3.0.2 outputs from computer with parport to which I have no longer access) and then for WRT54G2 v1

Although it may be possible, I don't see the gain.
There is already support for RPI in TJTAG.

yes, there is support for tjtag 3.0.1 on RPI
unfortunately tjtag 3.0.1 does not have support for many newer chipsets, some are supported in 3.0.2 for which source code is not available and thus RPI support cannot be incorporated into it
on the other hand zJtag is newer, is still being actively developed and is GNU GPLv2 compliant (which tjtag 3.0.2 is not)
I personally see the gain in adding support
looking at github changes there is not much code to be added in tjtag so I was hoping it would not be that hard to modify it for zJtag needs.
unfortunately I am not that much of a developer to be able to do it myself

I think it'd be better to get tjtat-pi sources and improve them.
zJTAG was based on TJTAG with added support for TIAO devices.
I'll take a look at the code but don't expect nothing in less than a month.

I wish tjtag 3.0.2 sources were available, then even I would be able to copy&paste tjtag-pi modifications into it
unfortunately improving tjtag-pi would mean adding support for new CPUs and flash memories which is already worked out in zJtag and tJtag 3.0.2 and I believe it is much harder work than adding a few IF statements to use GPIO instead of parport0
