HEllo,
I just got the TUMPA adapter and now I´m trying to get it to work with openocd. The TUMPA driver (downloaded from here) has the VID 0403 and the PID 8A98, but my adapter has PID 6010 and uses the standard drivers from another USB-Serial adapter. Openocd does not find the TUMPA device (I tried the usblib version and a FTDI enabled version of openocd). I think the TUMPA configuration eeprom is scrambled (e.g the Vendor name string has some cryptic characters). Is it possible to get a TL-Prog template.xml file to reset the FTDI on TUMPA? I didn´t find it in the download area.

Ok...I am using Windows 7, I unzipped the TUMPA driver software (.rar file) into a temp directory with 7-ZIP . Rebooted my computer, plugged in the USB cable attached to the board and on the Device Manager, I get, under "Ports", "USB Serial Port(COM10)" and "USB Serial Port(COM9)". I never get anything under "Other".

Hi,
No it's not there.! I have windows 7, I installed the correct drivers but when I connect the TUMPA board, windows then shows two USB Serial ports under" Ports". Nothing under "Other". If I delete the drivers for the two USB Serial Ports under "Ports" and plug the TUMPA board back in, a USB Serial port shows up under "Other". When I direct Driver Manager to the Tumpa drivers (.inf), it doesn't recognize them as drivers.

I have been receiving lots of emails from new TUMPA users. Your TUMPA may have incorrect EEPROM settings (probably FTDI's default EEPROM settings, interface is detected as 2 COM ports - vendor_id=0x0403 product_id=0x6010).
There may have been a problem while flashing FTDI settings to TUMPA. Furthermore, It may be possible that FTDI chip got erased by heavy X-RAY or electromagnetic field in mail processing, too.
Please use FT_prog to change incorrect settings;

HI,
I ran the FT_PROG software as instructed. Two USB Serial devices opened again, pointed Device manager to the TUMPA drivers but the USb Serial drivers were installed again. If I delete the USB drivers and point to the TUMPA drivers again, again they are not recognized as drivers.

OK..OK...I figured it out. I kept re-reading the other guys post and finally things clicked. Later I'll connect TUMPA to the target board and hopefully things will go smoother...grrrr! Thanks for your patience....
