We have upgraded our xbox 360 DVD adapter V3 to latest version V4 - the new version comes with additional features:

USB power option, if you don't need to eject tray during flash, you can power it by USB, therefore Molex power is not required for these DVD drives
Integrated flash unlock tool. No need to buy separate tool
Integrated PMT probe

Hi, I'm having a problem getting my head round how to get the keys of my Liteon DG-16D2S f/w 0251 using the onboard PMT probe. i have read through the Extracting key, spoofing firmware and flashing XBOX 360 Lite-on DVD drive using JungleFlasher in Windows (No PC Freezing) tutorial, but that doesn't show how to use the probe with V4.
I've never done this before (noob), so am very carefull with what i'm doing. i have good PC skilled and flashed fw many times.

i think i found my answer (typical noob), do i use the built in probe as if it was a POGO MO THOIN (PMT)?
Ok i tried using the POGO MO THOIN tutorial, but it failed evertime.

That was a driver/window7 64bit issue, after many attempts i put the via card in an old dell with xp 32bit and it worked 1st time.
I also had a problem when i was powering off in jungleflasher with a Hitachi 79FL, as i was powering of the CK4 and not just the 3.3v.
But i'm getting there by picking bits from JF tutorial and CK3 tutorials

This is my first XBOX DVD f/w update. I have purchased the TIAO 360 DVD Adapter V4 using Windows 7 64-bit with the VIA 6421A PCI Sata Card. Also using the JungleFlasher 1.92b to extract the DVD Key and flash the DVD Drive with LTPlus-0251-v3.0.bin.
XBOX DVD DRIVE: Liteon 74850c f/w 0251 Vendor PLDS Name DG-16D2S
Dashboard has been updated to f/w 2.0.15574.0

If you follow the Jungleflasher tutorial, the only thing you need do different is, you have to have 3.3v power on and when you power cycle turn off the 3.3v (probe) and not the whole board.
The jungleflasher tutorial is very good, but a bit outdated in some areas and takes a while to learn how to use it, but well worth the time and effort.

Thanks for your help. got the DVD keys extracted but the ixtreme f/w doesn't match my DVD Key so I guess I downloaded the wrong flash f/w for my 74850c DVD. Do you know which flash I need for this Drive?

Click "Manual spoof" then browse to where you saved you key and load it in

hi i have bought this too , do i need anything else to extract the key? i keep reading about a probe, i have 16d2 liteon on 0225 so need pmt method. do i need to make or buy a probe or does this board do it all.

ok i have a dg-16d4s fw ver: 0225 hw ver: aoao
and the new v4 as in the title
what i need to know is will this unlock my 0225 org so i can dump the firmware because i believe my board is bad replaced the laser and still no light anyway i seen in the wiki aka (tuts) were it says to hook the other end to the pcb but were?
Flash Unlocker Connector: Connect supplied probe wire to this connector and the other end to the PCB
