Ive started going through the tutorail for JTAGn my xbox using the USB SPI interface..
Not got very far and have had some problems..
Ive connected the spi interace to a W7 PC and windows says its 'malfunctioned and doesnt recognize it'
Its an 'unknown device' in device manager, tried to update the driver from the MCHPFSUSB download, doesnt update as it is already installed.
Device manager also states - Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
Its crashed another W7 PC three times as soon as i plugged it in :0
..and on another W7 PC device manager states 'Device could not be started (code 10)'
Im no expert.. but I think it is damaged..?
Can anyone help?

I'm also having trouble getting mine to work. I'm on windows 7. I already prep the SPI tool now I need help installing the drivers for reading/flashing. Where do I get them? The tutoral says to get them from nandpro but all the copies I get don't have any drivers just the software tool to do the reading and writing.

No I havent opened a support ticket, how should i procced with that?
I will try windows XP, but as someone else has it working on W7 I fear the worst..

hi,
i just wanted to chime in and say i also have problems programming the nand spi kit i received last week. first i tried it on my normal win7 x64 box - but that didn't work since it would just blue screen all the time after connecting the device (chose the drivers according to the wiki entry). Also same behaviour on another pc. Then I installed Win7 32 but there the same error. Next I installed XP 32, but there the same error. I also tried different drivers, and sometimes the pc wouldn't bluescreen/reboot and I could even chose the device in the Flasher app. But then there would be an error about a 'Error 6 : Handle invalid blablabl" or sometimes also another error msg.
I'm gonna give those drives Mike posted a try and report back. Haven't opened a support ticket about this yet. Please keep me updated about this matter jamescraig81 please

ah, just realized those are the nandpro drivers that are needed in the second stage here http://www.tiaowiki.com/w/How_to_JTAG_XBOX_360_Using_TIAO_USB_SPI_Interface , so they won't solve my problem

hi mike
when it does recognize the device and doesn't bluescreen, i can't program the PIC. I do as in this screenshot http://www.tiaowiki.com/wiki/images/4/41/Flash_pic.jpg but when I click on 'Program Device' there's the "Error 6: Handle is invalid" error message. But most of the time the computer will just BSOD when connecting the USB flasher.
