Hey, bought your kit, put it all together, now im having this issue.
When i go into dosflash i open it up, and it asks if i want to re-send the MTK , in bottom its either 0x51, or 0x52. Ive gone from using a 22 ohms resistor to a 20, and then to a 18, what am i doing wrong?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.\
Im using the Maximus xtrator with this btw. dunno if it will change anything.

Hi, what do you mean you are using Maximus Xtractor with this? do you have a reliable 3.3v and GND?
thanks

You need to make the 2 cuts shown in the tutorial deeper. You know when the cuts were made properly once the drive doesn't show up in the BIOS and you have to use the pogo pins for it to show up.
Stick to 20ohms resistor. That one worked fine.
Also make sure you hooked up the alligator clips onto the CK3. Also, the shiny gold part of the pogo pins must be inserted first into the pogo pin jumper. The silver part that can automatically move up and down when your fingers press against it should be the one that touches the drive's PCB.
Also, it's easy to miss the hole if your hands are slipping. Basically the positive hole powers up the drive and gives out the info. The negative (GND) hole gives you status 0x72 if the connection is good.

Yes, you need to make sure the cut is good. use a magnifying glass to double check if doubt.
