I bought the usb spi bundle, and I seem to be getting some issues.
Sometimes takes 1-2 extra plugins for the spi to be seen by windows.
Nandpro reports bad flashconfig on 2 different xboxes (00000400 or 00000800) on 2.0e. After starting it will error 0 and the device won't be recognized until it is removed and plugged back in with No ARM device error. On 2.0a it gives me a random flashconfig (12FE78) and spits out errors (301, 3da, etc etc).
I followed the checklist exactly, no diodes/etc are soldered, and I've tried multiple nand pro versions. Can't find the 800_v1.hex that was mentioned in a post about a year ago though.
Is there some sort of self-diagnostic program I could flash to it? Never really fooled with PIC programming besides the basics.
I've checked the wiring for continuity from the trace on the back of the xbox board to the underside of the flasher, everything checks out. No accidental bridges, either.
Checked the gnd points vs the j1d2 points to see if the SPI is shot, all are constant.
I don't have an LPT port to test if that would work, since that was the primary reason I grabbed the usb spi.
Problem box is a just opened apr-2009 jasper 512.
I've got a decent multimeter if you need #s, or want me to check something.
edit: the box can still boot normally.
