How well those this adapter work? Also are there any pics on how this should be attached to the hard-drive?
I'm interested in ordering one but I wanted some more information before I make a purchase.

idk if its just me of this really doesnt fit. but i cant seem to get the ms logo slot to fit in my HDD. its the right direction and everything it just seems like i have to really force it to get it in.

Use your two hands to apply pressure on both left/right ends of the adapter. I had to use force.

also have another question. in order to hook it up to a laptop am i going to have to buy a usb to sata connector or is there another way.

For Power - you need a cable that has a Mini-USB female connector on one end, and either a USB/FireWire connector on the other end. Or you can get a female Molex cable that has a USB connector on the other end.
For data transfer - you will need a SATA to USB/FireWire or SATA to eSATA adapter. Look at the back of your laptop for more info. Desktop would be easier.
Now use Xplorer360. There are many different versions of Xplorer360 to download for different purposes.
