Win 7 - USB Probe

Hi, i have a problem with the usb probe.
I have the usb to binary usb probe and my xbox dvd is a 78450c and am using a via 6421a sata card.
My computer is running win 7 32 bits.
The problem is that the usb probe gives me an unknown device warning. I installed the vista tiaowiki usb drivers and it didn't work, tried with the xp ones and the prolific pl-2303 drivers found on their website and that too didn't work. My windows finds the device but doesn't seem to be able to associate it with the drivers. When i look in the device manager, i have an unknown device under usb bus controller, nothing new appears under com/lpt devices.
Anyone has a solution?

I had this problem... make sure its the right driver... download the vista or xp driver from download section ...

Yeah tried that too.
Just to be clear i have the usb binary extractor:

I installed portio32, my vt6421 sata card with no prob.
I have tried the following software for the probe:

all of them install correctly but windows still says unknown device to each of them.
also tried the method to stop computer, remove power and press power button for 30 sec... didn'T work either, tried to remove all usb devices and have the computer rediscover them...
Seriouly have no idea what to do to check......
could it be broken? i mean the cable was brand new... never used it before as i didn't have my sata card yet.

You may have more luck using a virtual machine to install the USB Binary Extractor driver successfully since there is no stuff like driver signing/UAC/Admin privileges to worry about. Windows XP includes a Device Manager or Add New Hardware Wizard to install drivers easily. For Widows 7/Vista, try your best to install the correct driver (either by uninstalling/reinstalling old ones) and restart/reboot the computer many times.
Try experimenting with different ways/methods of installing this driver here http://www.tiaowiki.com/download//file.php?id=14 for Windows 7. I am assuming you need to do this because JungleFlasher doesn't do anything when extracting the key according to this tutorial (or the old one here).
There are many way to install drivers or force Windows to install any specific driver. So do this first, unless you know for sure the USB Extractor device itself is damaged.

well, you did "Install" the software right. I ask because it seems it's mounting as a storage device.
