Okay, so I followed this guide almost to a pin point, and got the xell image from the usual places on. Heres what happened:
Flashed bad image (some xell f1)
Soldered Diodes
Had some coffee
Tried to boot xbox, wouldn't turn on.
Flashed different image, E79
Flashed different image, E79
Flashed backup, Perfect boot.
Flashed image from usual places, E79
RAEG!
Any suggestions? I can flash the origional image back to the xbox, and it boots, but nothing else. Are my diodes not working, or do I have to take them off to re-flash?

Make sure dashboard version is compatible and you are using the correct freeBoot/XBReboot image to flash with from Xbins - for your specific Xbox revision/motherboard. Remember you need to write XeLL on your NAND first, before writing to the other images.
You might have to take the diodes off to write to your Nand (if you have already written XeLL then you don't have to since Soldering the SMC-JTag is required for FB/XBR to work fully with all features enabled). Soldering the SMC-Jtag Connections is the diode part (the last step to JTagging) and that is done after writing/flashing to the Nand/XeLL. If your Xbox was flashed with an image before already, then try again and completely remove or replace the diodes to see what happens when you try to reflash to a different image (remember you can use a multimeter to test your diode). A PDF tutorial containing these instructions in the link above states this clearly...

I downloaded Xell from XBins, disconnected my diodes, wrote the backup, wrote Xell, and still same result.

Be sure to do the correct SMC-Jtag diode soldering procedures for your specific Xbox motherboard. Jasper/Zephyr/Falcon/Xenon are different - http://www.free60.org/SMC_Hack
The images you were trying to flash might have gotten corrupted during the process, or are incorrect for your Xbox motherboard/revision. Redownload the correct ones, do a checksum/hash check on them, and then try again. You need both Xell first (not Xellous), and then either freeBoot/XBR/Xellous. (XBR recommended for Nandpro)
Also, make sure your connections are firm and in the correct place. Are you using the right commands to flash the image? The NandPro 2.0e USB command syntax is also different across Xbox motherboards.

This assumes you have already done the necessary soldering/solderless steps directly on your Xbox 360 as well as the connections to the USB-SPI, of which most likely you have already done. The steps are different for the LPT method by the way. You cannot go wrong using Diygadget equipment, rather than homemade, or else you will have to do extra soldering.
