You shorted the entire PCB. It will be hard to get the glue off and try to rejoin at the same time.
The LT Switch would have been a better option, but try a different rejoining idea here instead -

I don't know how this is going to work. You have to clean up the silver glue touching the dark-green borders. The trick is to not let the glue pass the dark-green line borders, and then into the dotted area. Remember your cut extends over to not only the light-green lines which is the safe mark, but passing the dark-green borders lines as well. So the silver glue cannot try to rejoin the cut/trace that is extending over to the borders, only in the safe zone (light-green line/area)
Next time, do not cut near to the dark-green borders. Rejoin
in-between the light-green area, and not all over the dark-green borderlines.
Anyway, this diagram will tell you what supposed to or supposed to not have continuity/resistance -

Basically, after rejoining, you DO want to hear beeps, OR want values over 0 and 1.
If refixing the silver glue is getting a bit too difficult: The last resort will be to buy a new drive since you have gotten the key already - http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/catalog/Lite-On-DG16D2S-Xbox-360-DVD-ROM-p-3033.html
