need help with jtag

hey guys i was just going over the tutorial "How to JTAG XBOX 360 Using TIAO USB SPI Interface" gettin ready to jtag my xbox 360 and was wondering what it means when it says to "use the jumper to short the BL pins." could someone explain that to me? thanks guys

"Shorting" means to position the jumper as shown here. So this means you need to simply place the jumper right on top of the pins to enable BL (BootLoader) mode.
Later on when you reach here, you will swap the jumper positions to disable BL access.
