Lite-On 93450c DVD Drive

Hi All,
Firstly thanks in advance to anyone that can help resolve my issue.
I have been searching the forum and would greatly appreciate some clarification on the Xbox 360 Connectivity Kit V3 and USB Solderless Lite-on DVD Key Extractor Combo.
Problem: Unable to extract Lite-on DVD Key from Ver: 93450c using Jungle Flasher 1.74 or Xtractor Reader Ver: 2.9. Both apps detect the DVD drive but give an error. Jungle Flasher = Warning Serial Data Bad.
I did follow the provided tutorials from www.tiaowiki.com but from reading them, I am under the impression no cutting is required on the 93450c models.
My questions are:
1. Is the Xbox 360 Connectivity Kit V3 & USB Solderless Lite-on DVD Key Extractor Combo the only item needed to extract the DVD key on the 93450c model or do you also have to make cuts on the PCB?
2. Is there a tutorial on trouble shooting this type of problem or does anyone have specific steps to follow when thing don't work as they should.

You still need to make 2 cuts in order to dump the key for a 9 series....No other way but to cut the 2 traces...It says so in the tutorial as well:
